Q. Why is it important for my family to have an annual eye exam?

A. Eye problems often have no symptoms, until the problem becomes severe enough to effect vision. Having an annual eye exam is important to detect eye problems before they become a threat to your vision and health. During your exam, your eye doctor will look for eye muscle imbalance, vision disorders, and eye disease that could potentially cause future problems.

Don’t wait until you or your children have trouble with your vision. In addition to detecting vision changes, regular eye exams can also detect life-threatening conditions like a brain tumor and high cholesterol.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have closed the office to routine care. Contact lens orders can still be made, and limited eyeglasses services are available. For everyone’s safety, we are providing free delivery for all contact lenses. Please call 204-253-9219 or e-mail info@villageoptical.ca to place an order.

We remain open for urgent situations and emergency care. Please call to schedule an appointment. Our new office hours are 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, and we also have an after hours emergency phone that can be reached at 431-275-2495. If you would like to be put on a call list for when routine care resumes, please let us know by phone or email.
